Do you need a poem
to hypnotize you
so you can cross the road
whatever happens to a chicken
wonder begins it
but for the non-technician
who stumbles reading aloud
a poem that’s a nurse
making him skate on his ankles
isn’t always helpful
except when it is
because absolutely nothing
gets accomplished
through thinking alone
that’s how we got here love.
