me down but I simply
check back later
how will we get through
this pattern the gauntlet
of its trigger-points
where blind or inept
spontaneity no longer
accurately reflects
our need to find support
in drab or commonplace
responses to the natural
world we’ve relied on
for however long
when to obey one’s
thoughtful self alone
is love is freedom?
