Poetry’s got to be
at least as silly as
surfing when you think
about the waves as much
as the self-reliance
as much as you can
how it’s inescapably
never really about
what it seems to be
about but just wants to
point out something
amazing right over there
something much more
amazing than itself
its silliness here.
