the bars are our bodies
but we don’t think of it
that way because we don’t
see them as bars with life
as the prisoner and so
are left to wonder how
can we live freely
in the body but not
be bound by the brain
or the blood or the body
as a whole mineralized
instrument or philosophy
that eventually turns
us against us,
