that we have never felt safe
on this earth
but we want to and do
come out of our houses
in search of it
after that it’s a matter
of the traffic and the questions
we come up with on the way
the fact that all of this
will have to be acknowledged
and then refused
so that this universe can pass
us on to the next universe
and we can sleep sound tonight
