a great waterfall
laid on its back

but still falling
vertically although
it seems horizontal to us
secretly picking up speed
then stretching out again
a great river like this one
is just many little rivers
flowing into one unstoppability
slippery steps descending to the sea
and every night we could still hear
the water all around us rushing past
