while we’re awake and trying
to wake up in our dreams
for example I dreamt Nietzsche
was the reincarnated Judas Iscariot
because of something deeply similar
in their pain and sense of betrayal
each ushering in a new age
one ready to be the first martyr
the other ready to be the last
