Forgetful Valentine

It seems I’m always forgetting
And then suddenly remembering
Your face your look
Do your work
But I fidget with infinitudes
Lazy to admit it
Ignoring your presence
Or rushing to join it
The hummingbird who is not
Anyone’s confidante
Takes just eight sips
Of your pale nectar
And flies off
How could that be
Enough for him for me
