For a long time I was
confusing Giordano Bruno
with Brunetto Latini
Ingeborg Bachman with
Ingmar Bergman in
my final years of school
I was just starting over
on the study of nerves
thinking of different parts
of your body how they
differ to touch but each
a miracle ending in
a horse’s tail of sensations
our lungs more connected
to earth than to air
our nerves more to
memory than sense.
