All that will end
in the world today
is some sale on women’s
lingerie everything
else continues
as before
except the gassing
at animal shelters
can’t that stop
as well as the killing
of people there are
no innocents none
but it all just continues
in the sinews as before
long days at the beach
the imaginary beach
baking and slicing
and eating the heart.
