is like living in a prison
and like all prisons
the point is to escape
or take the time
to learn a new language
but not even death
allows for that and
even though I don’t
recall all my crimes
I know I’m guilty
and that the law is
ultimately just
though not always
fair hardly fair
but I feel its desire
to put things right
as the main motivator
in the majority of cases
