about getting old is that
you’re finally relieved of caring
about what anyone thinks of you
but then later in an interview
she said that bad reviews
bothered her and she refused
to read them anymore
the two women of herself agreed
age did not bring wisdom
they were the same inside
as when they turned 11
and knew they would write
a new apotheosis of gossip
in the time leftover
from having a normal life
it was all they could handle
