coming right at us but we
were already in the midst
of our own personal disasters
our minds full of the hurricane
of the present moment
preoccupied as it is with collapse
and survival but would it be any
different without these bodies
as distractions to be mastered
or succumbed to at least
there’s that joy in the world
though we still haven’t decided
if we actually want to live here
or just keep killing one another
