I often said no
I was a difficult child
but today I read about the ten
stages of the Bodhisattva
according to that religion
which of course rise
from gladness and joy
to being one with the great truth cloud
and now I know why I was born bad
and good at the same time
why I came too soon down
to this earth lured on
by the great land deals
and the fool’s easy ways
