Too close to the sun
He forgot the sun was there
He could have chosen
A cold or cloudy day
And the wings would have worked
He could have seen
The wax had to go
The feathers had to be replaced
With a proper sail and things fitted
Together better overall
The technology was there
Only the inspiration failed
