you would be suffering enormously
every day there would be
no let-up in the intensity
of the pain until you would
lose consciousness altogether
only to be forced back awake
you would have to be Christ
except in your case a lot
of the injustice would be deserved
you would have to believe
suffering builds worlds
when joyfully endured
you would have to be crazy in love
as if there was only love in the world
