Senior at the Sea Valentine

On the supremacy of inadequacy
not enough research has been done
on the purely mechanical aspects
of raising and occupying a body
each time newly composed and arranged
according to available tools and instruments
out here in the intellectual hinterlands
of the early years of the 21^st century
the sunlight falls clearly on our sins
and one can see mountain ranges
advancing and receding like waves
of infant civilizations from here
thrown up on the sand
some living and some dead
some green some red
