A sweet pea and a periwinkle
And an overshadowing nasturtium
Who voluntarily decided one day
To come up together companionably
As we gardeners of the light might say
In the same small room
Strange how the pea
Used the periwinkle
To reach the trellis
Causing it to bloom
And the pea to unwind
Its tendrils in a swoon
Of sudden gratitude
And rush to climb
