To death the way life can
The way darkness does every day
To light or cold to warmth
Until it all finally mingles
Into another dawn another dusk
That magic flash when the gods look out
At every horizon to survey
What’s been accomplished somewhat
Or what’s still left to say
So much evolution still happens
In the dark that every day
We can wake a better woman
In the body of a better man
