But not wholly and I can tell
Mine’s not far behind
We see the mountain differently
Though we look from common ground
You say let’s climb
While I stand back and admire
The cool shade that settles
Under some aspen trees
To this particular mountain
Young men rain across the desert
Centuries ago to break
A branch from the topmost tree
Returning to their villages
With the proof of destiny
