In some prior life he must
Have paid the highest price
To deserve these beautiful days
Not without their own delusions
To compensate for the loss of heaven
For which he settled on the earth
Maybe the only place
That would take him in
Rejected by every other planet
Apprentice his stubbornness
To the great Lord Courage
So he could dream in his old age
Of coming better days
