What made me foolish
When I was younger
Is not the same foolishness
I feel now I'm older
It's deepened into
The entire earth
For which I don't feel
Responsible enough
And yet remain
Insanely optimistic
Not about its prospects
Those are doomed
But it's longing
To go on being born
