I half-slept half-cried on the plane
All the long way here
The Buddhi plane they said
Could take me anywhere
I need to go and the fare
Reasonable this time of year
I remember we circled the earth
Several times the cosmic route
Cruising low over ocean light
So we could peer into the depths
And one night we stopped in mid-air
Above a tiny Ukrainian town
For some smiling princess to retrieve
The buried luggage of her soul
She'd left there years ago
And I knew we'd meet again
At some departure or arrival gate
Whether by chance or fate
