maybe even more diligently
than ever working on us
having evened-up the game
with their recent unavoidable
insertion of opposition
(evil they’re calling it now)
and that they remain watchful
on the sidelines though more
on a level of soul a concept
without a country these days
but that a god would die
to prove the power of evil
in human beings and
thereby prove the power
of love is almost more
than I can bear
