I trust the torah of just one seed
To unravel a whole new testament
I trust the air to nourish it
And the ground to fall away
As it rises I trust the scent
Of its flower drawn in
From the field of the stars
The night its lover
And the sun with no purpose
But to stroke its face
And encourage its progress
That one flower for which
The entire earth was made
Even if it goes unnoticed
I trust it with my life
