What I've got for you today
Says the tall vegetable man
Is a few crisp apples the pears
From Anjou should arrive tomorrow
The asparagus is good but
At one moment it's fresh
And the next it's limp and dead
I wouldn't wait till tomorrow
But smell this thyme brought in
This morning from the mountains
Infuse he says a few sprigs
In a good olive oil
And rub it on your arms
It quickens the will for tomorrow
