Just about to fall asleep
Strange noises last night
Right outside the window
An electric hissing and the rattle
Of small stones hitting the wall
Then I felt the world swirling
Around the house and the house
Go airborne in eerie silence
Lifting me at the calm center
Of a great unfurling storm
Hurling me toward a starry field
I could see off in the distance
Somehow I thought I was taking
The whole world with me
Or was it the world taking me
But I was sure it was no dream
