Night Light Valentine

The peace of a cold wind
That drives us down into ourselves
And spreads the snow across the snow
And pulls us down into the darkness
Of the depths of the earth
Where we dream like bears or wolves
Around the fire at the center
While the peace of a soundless breeze
Floats in the stars above us
And finally comes a night
Of absolute stillness
Where nothing breathes or dies
And perhaps for an hour
The sun shines through the earth
