When I was an amateur genius
Arrogant as the river was green
And strode the polluted cities
Of my dreams I could still be
A timid student of the stars
Where lived my kith and kin
That I could read my way to glory
And still come back to my earthly life
Transformed by the example
So now I live in two worlds
So completely I can't chose which
As if between two children
I could love one more
Or tell one from another less
