There must be all kinds of angels
As there are all kinds of human beings
Aren't the evil promoted to high places
Taking up authority in our minds
Just as the good is given its reward
Like a proofed bread rising
To become food for the gods
Those who have scaled the heights
Outdistancing destiny and yet deigning
To weave us into their schemes
Holy and unholy but thank God
There was one with enough courage
And sense of self to combine
A human and a heart divine
